SYSTEM INSPECTION
Check that the speedometer and indicators funct ion
properly.
If they do not function , check the power/ground line
(page 22-7).
If they function, check as follows:
Remove the fuel level sensor 2P (Red) connector
(page 22-18).
Turn the ignition switch ON and check the fuel gauge.
All segments [1] should blink.
Turn the ignition switch OFF .
Connect the meter side connector terminals with a
jumper wire.
Turn the ignition switch ON and check the fuel gauge.
AI! segments should blink.
If the fuel gauge does not function properly, replace the
combination meter (page 22-6).
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Remove the fuellevei sensor (page 22-18).
Connect the fuel level sensor 2P (Red) connector.
With the fuel level sensor float [1[ at the top (FULL)
position (2), turn the ignition switch ON and check the
fuel gauge.
All segments up to segment "F" [1[ should come on.
Turn Ihe ignition switch OFF.

Move the float to the bottom (RESERVE) pOSition , turn
1
the ignition swilch ON and check the fuel gauge .
Segment "E" [1] and low fuel indicator [2] should blink.
If the fuel gauge does not function properly, check the
fuel level sensor (page 22-20).
If the fuel level sensor is OK, replace the combination
meter.
Ir all segments blink during inspection, replace the
combination meter.
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Inslall the fuel level sensor (page 22-18).
