DTC P0106 – MAP System Performance (Cont'd)

8 1. Check the 5 volt reference circuit for high
resistance, an open between the PCM and the MAP
sensor, or a poor connection at the PCM.
2. If a problem is found, repair as necessary.

9 1. Ignition "OFF."
2. Disconnect the PCM, and check the MAP sensor
signal circuit for high resistance, an open, a short to
ground, or a short to the sensor ground circuit.
3. If a problem is found, repair as necessary.

10 1. Check the MAP sensor signal circuit for a poor
connection at the PCM.
2. If a problem is found, repair as necessary.
Did the terminal require replacement?
11 1. Check for a poor connection at the MAP sensor.
2. If a problem is found, repair as necessary.
Was a problem found?
12 Replace the MAP sensor.
Is the action complete?
13 1. Ignition "OFF," disconnected the PCM.
2. Ignition "ON," check the MAP signal circuit for a
short to voltage or a short to the 5 volt reference
circuit.
3. If a problem is found, repair as necessary.
Was a problem found?
14 Replace the PCM.

And also refer to latest Service Bulletin.
Check to see if the Latest software is released or not.
And then Down Load the LATEST PROGRAMMED
SOFTWARE to the replacement PCM.
