Removal of calibrated discs from seats.
Measure shim.

3.17.3.3 SHIMS (CALIBRATED DISCS) FOR
Using a magnet, pull out the calibrated discs 1 from
the seats in the cups.
Once the calibrated discs are extracted, measure
them with a thickness gauge.

The calibrated discs range from 2.00 to 3.30 accor-
ding to the intervals carried in the table below.
Once you have done the measurement, take note
and mark the calibrated disc depending on its ori-
ginal position.
Should the calibrated discs be deteriorated, repla-
ce them with others having the same dimensions.
Thus you can know whether to replace it with a
thicker or thinner calibrated disc when determining
the valve play.
