Cavle free play adjustment
1. Check:
e Clutch cable free play

Out of specification->Adjust.

Free play:

2. Adjust:
e Clutch cable free play

Adjustment steps:
• Loosen the locknuts
CD .
• Turn the adjusters
®
in or out until the speci-
fied free play is obtained .
Free play is increased.
Free play is decreased .
• Tighten the locknuts.

The above procedure provides for maximum
cable free play to allow for proper clutch
actuating mechanism adjustment.
Mechanism adjustment
1. Loosen :
eLocknut
CD
2. Tighten:
eAdjuster
®
3. Drain:
eEngine oil
Refer to the "ENGINE OIL REPLACE-
MENT" section.
4. Remove:
e Rear brake switch
CD
5. Disconnect:
eSpring (rear brake switch)
6. Remove:
e Footrest (right)
®
7. Disconnect:
e Return spring (brake pedal)
8. Remove:
e Union bolt (engine oil delivery)
®
e Crankcase cover
®
