ePlace the cam chain onto the cam sprocket.
elnstall the sprocket with timing marks as
shown, and finger tighten the sprocket bolts.

Upper position mark
eForce the camshaft clockwise and counter-
clockwise to remove the cam chain slack.
elnsert your finger into the cam chain ten-
sioner hole, and push the cam chain damper
inward.
eWhile pushing the cam chain damper, be sure
cam sprocket timing marks align with the
cylinder head upper surface.
elf marks are aligned, tighten the cam sprocket
bolts.
Bolt (cam sprocket):
20 Nm (2.0 mokg, 14 ftolb)
elf marks do not align, change the meshing
piston of sprocket and cam chain.

(to the mating surfaces)
Sealant (quick gasket)®

Yamaha Bond No. 1215®:
PI N. 90890-85505
11. Install:
eDowel pin
®
12. Install
eBlind cap
e Clinder head cover
NOTE: ________________________ __
Tighten the bolts in stage, using a crisscross
pattern .
Bolt (cylinder head cover):
10 Nm (1.0 mokg, 7.2 ttolb)
