1. Deburr:
-Valve stem end
Use an oil stone to smooth the stem end.
2. Lubricate:
- High-Quality molybdenum disulfide motor oil
(to the valve stem and oil seal)
3. Install:
-Oil seal

-Valve

-Valve retainer
®
-Inner spring
®
-Outer spring
®
- Valve retainer
®
NOTE: ________________________ __
Install the inner and outer springs with wider-
gapped coils facing upwards as shown.
(J) Larger pitch

Smaller pitch
4. Install:
-Valve cotter
CD
NOTE: ________________________ __
Compress the valve spring to install the valve
cotter by the valve spring compressor
®.
