INSPECTION
1. Inspect:
-Inner fork tube

-Outer fork tube

Scratches/Bends/Damage

Replace.
AWARNING
Do not attempt to straighten a bent inner fork
tube as this may dangerously weaken the
tube.
2. Measure:
- Fork spring free length

Out of specification
->
Replace.
Fork spring free length:
478 .0 mm (18.8 in)
Minimum free length:
468.4 mm (18.4 in)
3. Inspect:
- Damper rod

Wear/Damage
->
Replace.
Contamination
~
Blowout all oil passages
with compressed air.
- Piston ring
®
Wear/ Damage
~
Replace .
4 . Inspect :
- Rebound spring
Q)
Wear/ Damage
->
Replace.
