The paper end sensor [A] is above the rear end of the paper tray. When the paper
is in the tray, the paper pushes up the bottom end of the feeler [B]. The feeler does
not interrupt the paper end sensor. When the paper is not in the tray, the bottom
end of the feeler goes into the opening [C] of the paper-tray base. The feeler
interrupts the paper end sensor.
