Troubleshooting

Scan to PC (SMTP) transmissions

EAXXXX
Scanner Mode
Cause
The IP address specified by the
sender is incorrect.
Image Receiver did not start up.
Data from another scanner is
being received.
The IP address of the sender is
not specified correctly with
settings from Image Receiver.
Image Receiver is not operating
correctly.
The LAN cable is not connected.
The network settings on the
computer are not specified
correctly.
The network load on the sender's
computer is too high.
Too much data is being sent.
Remedy
The sender should specify the
correct IP address.
Start up Image Receiver.
Try sending again after the
reception is finished.
Erase the IP address specified in
Image Receiver, and then quit
and restart Image Receiver.
Restart the computer.
Re-install IP Scanner.
Check the TCP/IP settings on the
computer.
Check that the LAN cable is
correctly connected.
Check the TCP/IP settings on the
computer.
Check that large e-mail
messages are not being sent
from the sender's computer and
that large files are not being
downloaded from the Web.
If a high scanning resolution has
been specified, reduce the pages
and scan again.
