BATTERY/CHARGING SYSTEM
2. Main Relay Operation Voltage Inspection
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Measure the voltage between the Red/green
wire terminal and ground.
Is there battery voltage?
NO
YES
3. Main Relay Circuit Voltage Inspection
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Measure the voltage between the Red/green (+)
and Green/white (-) wire terminals.
Is there battery voltage?
NO
YES
4. Starter Relay Circuit Inspection
Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
Disconnect the ECM 6P connector.
Check the continuity between the Red/black wire
terminal at the main relay connector and the Red
wire terminal at the ECM 6P connector.
Does continuity exist?
NO
YES
OPERATING INSPECTION
Check for continuity between the A and B terminals.
There is usually no continuity; there should be con­
tinuity when the battery is connected to C (+) and D
(-) terminals.
INSTALLATION
Installation is i n the reverse order of removal.

Check for an open or short circuit i n
the wire harness.
Check the ignition switch (page 1 9-
20)
• Check for loose or poor contact of
related terminals.
- GO TO STEP 3.
- • Check for an open or short circuit in '--- -=
the wire harness. If it is normal,
check the ECM ground line.
- GO TO STEP 4.

Check for an open or short circuit in
the wire harness.
• Check the starter relay (page 18-6).
- Correct.
