Alternator/Starter Installation - Honda 2003 NPS50 Ruckus Service Manual

Remove the wire band from the water pump stay.
Remove the grommet from the crankcase groove.
Remove the two bolts, clamp a n d ignition pulse
generator.
Remove the three bolts and stator.
Remove the woodruff key from the crankshaft.
INSTALLATION
Clean any oil from the tapered portion of the crank­
shaft and flywheel.
Install the woodruff key in the crankshaft key
groove.
Install the stator a n d tighten the bolts to the speci­
fied torque.
TORQUE: 12 N·m (1.2 kgf·m, 9 lbf·ft)
Install the grommet to the crankcase groove prop­
erly.
Install the ignition- pulse generator and wire clamp
properly as shown.
Tighten the bolts securely.
Route the alternator/sfarter wires under the guide of
the stator base.
Install the wire band to the water pump stay.
Route and clamp the alternator/starter wire properly
(page 1-1 5).
Connect the alternator/starter 3P and 6P connectors.
