Kickstarter Inspection - Honda 2003 NPS50 Ruckus Service Manual

When Remove the bolt a n d kickstarter pedal.
disassembling the
kickstarter, mark
the pedal position
to ensure correct
reassemblv in its
original location.
Release the hook end of the return spring from the
belt case cover stopper.
ri
Remove the snap ring and washer.
TOOL:
ng pliers
Snap
Remove the kickstarter spindle, return spring, collar
and spindle bushing.
INSPECTION
Check the kickstarter spindle and spindle gear for
wear or damage.
Check the return spring for fatigue or damage.
Check the collar and bushing for wear or damage.
Check the kickstarter driven gear and ratchet plate
for wear or damage.
Check the friction spring for fatig ue o r damage.
