BRM-S online/Off-line Handling and LED Descriptions

The system recognizes the BRM-S as online when inserted into a bay previously programmed
as a Basic Rate Module. The system auto-equips this module even if it has not been previously
programmed in DB Programming, assuming that DB Programming is not in session. However,
you must program the ports/circuits for the ports and circuits to come online. For programming
details, refer to the Inter-Tel 5000 Features and Programming Guide (part no: 580.8006).
The system recognizes the BRM-S as off-line when removed from the expansion bay. All the
ports and circuits are recognized as being off-line and all calls dropped, when the module is
removed.
Three LEDs are seen on the BRM-S module:

ONLINE: (Green) The ONLINE LED is turned ON whenever the module is inserted into
the expansion bay and the module is operational. If the bay in which this module is
installed had been previously programmed with another module type, then this LED will
not light.
REMOVE: (Green) The REMOVE LED is turned ON whenever the module is safe to be
removed from the expansion bay. See
from the chassis.
REF CLK: (Green) The REF CLK LED is turned ON whenever the module has been
selected to provide network clock synchronization to the system.
