Mitel 3000 Installation & Maintenance Manual Connecting T1/E1 PRI Trunks T1/E1 PRI trunks are terminated in the CCU MDF using an RJ 45 connector. For T1/E1 PRI trunks terminated on RJ48C jacks near the MDF, use a four-pair, non-reversing, mod-to-mod line cord to connect the T1 to the CCU.
  • Page 40: Structured Wiring

The supplied cable from the Feature Phones will plug into the 8-pin, 8-wire jack (RJ45) you have installed in the faceplate. However, Mitel does not recommend connecting the supplied phone cable to a RJ45 jack. This could cause intermittent problems with the phones.

  • Page 42: Connecting Apc Or Printer To The Serial Port

900 ohm impedance must be connected between the extension port and the microphone input. A Radio Shack 1:1 Audio Isolation Transformer (p/n 273-1374) was used by Mitel to verify this operation, but any transformer with a similar specification will work. In addition, commercial 1:1 (600 - 600 ohm) transformers are available from most sound system suppliers.
