Select the Save voice data to: check box. Then, in the text box, enter the destination
path for the voice processor database.
a. The default destination is U:\ for using a USB flash drive. See Table 4-12 on
24. If external voice processing is not used, make sure the USB flash drive is
inserted into the Inter-Tel 5000 Base Server before continuing. The option in this
dialog box saves all voice processor information. If you want to save specific voice
processor information, see "Saving the System and Voice Processor Databases" on
page
5-91. Also, refer to the Inter-Tel 5000 Features and Programming Guide (part
no: 580.8006) for additional save/restore details.
The Save voice data to: check box is available in remote mode only
NOTE
when a Voice Processing PC is attached or a USB flash drive is attached
to the USB-A port on the front of the chassis.
b. If using a USB flash drive to back up Basic Voice Mail and you want to back up
specific voice data, create subdirectories on the flash drive while it is in the Inter-Tel
5000 Base Server. For example, to back up prompts, create a subdirectory at the
root level of the flash drive such as U:\prompts. Specify this as the Save to
location in the dialog box shown in the figure above. Repeat the Save to process for
each subdirectory you want to save. The system recognizes only those directories
created while the USB flash drive is inserted.
c. If using an external voice processing system, change the Save voice data to: drive
letter to A:\ so that floppies can be used. Or, change it to the drive letter where the
voice data is saved—for example, CD-ROM or external hard drive.
To begin the operation, select Start. If you chose to save to a file that already existed,
you are prompted to overwrite it. When the operation is finished, a message appears
indicating the operation was successful. If using an external voice processing system
during a save operation, you may need to insert a second disk, if choosing to save to
floppy disks. If so, replace the first disk with a blank, formatted floppy disk.
Select Cancel. A message appears indicating the operation was aborted by the user.
