23.12.1 Network Conflict Avoidance

Since your ZyWALL is portable, you may have different WAN interface settings in different
locations. In order to avoid network conflicts, the ZyWALL automatically overwrites the
following settings if they conflict with the ZyWALL's WAN settings:
• LAN
• LAN DHCP and static DHCP
• IPSec Virtual Address Mapping
• IPSec Port Forwarding Rules

23.13 Configuring Device Mode (Zero Configuration)

Click MAINTENANCE > Device Mode to open the following screen. Use this screen to
have your ZyWALL function as a router, a bridge or a simplified router (zero configuration).

DESCRIPTION
This displays whether the ZyWALL is functioning as a router, bridge or simplified
router (zero configuration).
Select this radio button and click Apply to set the ZyWALL to router mode.
Enter the IP address of your ZyWALL' s LAN port in dotted decimal notation.
192.168.167.1 is the factory default.
