Telegram structure

Overview
Converter and higher-level control system exchange data via a fieldbus using telegrams.
Description of function
The converter receives data from the higher-level control cyclically and returns data to the
control cyclically.

Converter and higher-level control system package their data in telegrams.
Specific telegrams are defined for typical applications in the PROFIdrive profile and are
provided with a fixed PROFIdrive telegram number. Behind every PROFIdrive telegram
number is thus a fixed composition of signals. This means that a telegram number provides
an unambiguous description of the cyclic data exchange.
