Precautions for System Configuration

Restriction of firmware version
■Combination of the engineering tool and Motion module
The following table shows operations according to the combination of the engineering tool and the firmware version of the
Motion module.
Engineering tool
Earlier than software version "1.085P"
Software version "1.085P" or later
Devices connected to the same network
Do not connect the devices as described below. Doing so may cause the disconnection of all stations.
• A module on CC-Link IE TSN and a device having network types other than an Ethernet device (such as CC-Link IE
Controller Network and CC-Link IE Field Network) are connected to the same network.
• A module on CC-Link IE TSN and an Ethernet device (such as a personal computer), both of which are on different
networks, are connected to one switching hub.
Adding a device station with no IP address setting
In a line topology, do not connect the device station with no IP address setting at a place other than the end of the network. A
data link may not be performed in the device stations after the device station with no IP address setting.

Motion module
Firmware version "1.001" or earlier
Operates normally.
■If "Communication Speed" is set to 100 Mbps
• For the master station, the error code 2440H occurs
on the CPU side.
■If "Low-Speed" in "Multiple Period Setting" is set to a
value other than "×16"
• The error "Network parameter error" (error code:
2221H) occurs.
The newly added parameters below are not recognized
on the module side and no error judgment or
notification process is implemented, resulting in the
same operation as with the firmware version "1.001" or
earlier.
• System Reservation Time
• TSN HUB Setting
• CC-Link IE TSN Class Setting
Firmware version "1.002" or later
• The restrictions of the connection configuration are
the same as those of the firmware version "1.001" or
earlier.
• If a parameter is written, the communication speed
cannot be set, resulting in a speed of 1 Gbps.
• The system reserved time cannot be set, resulting in
operation at 20 s.
• "TSN HUB Setting" cannot be set, resulting in
operation with "Not to Use TSN HUB".
• "CC-Link IE TSN Class Setting" cannot be set for
device stations so that the Motion module operates
without CC-Link IE TSN Class.
• "Multiple Period Setting" cannot be set to "Low-
Speed", resulting in ×16 operation.
Operates normally.
