Session not terminated.
Connection delays when
using name servers.

Possible Cause
Several situations can leave a session
open.
hangup
• On CLI ports, the
command may not disconnect a
modem or a switch. On CLI login
ports, a modem, telephone, or
switch disconnection may not
terminate the CLI connection or
UNIX session. Thus, the next port
user finds a CLI connection with
jobs already active and does not
receive a security prompt, or
receives a shell prompt without
logging in.
• A port configured as autobaud may
retain the baud rate of the previous
session.
The port server session may not be
terminated if you try to use an outgoing
Annex port as a front-end to another
host (or to connect to a modem or
switch), and the interface at the other
end drops DCD.
