Configuring Standards-Based IPX (IPXCP)

Interfaces, as appropriate to your system.
Note: Windows 95 IPXCP clients must make sure that SPAP security is not
enabled on their PCs. SPAP is a proprietary Microsoft security mechanism not
supported by many other systems, including the Remote Annex and the
Remote Access Concentrator.
Configuring IPX on the Customer Network RADIUS Server
BaySecure Access Control (BSAC) is the RADIUS server that resides on the CPE
network and communicates with the RADIUS client on the gateway router. This
example uses the UNIX-based version of BSAC, but the same principles apply to
configuring BSAC for other platforms. To add IPX protocol support on the BSAC
RADIUS server, you must use a UNIX editor to edit the user's file in the directory
/etc/raddb (default) and insert the following text:
Framed-IPX-Network = 00.171.205.239
This is the dotted decimal equivalent of the hexadecimal address 00ABCDEF. You
can use the Windows 95 accessory Calculator in scientific mode to do the
hexadecimal-to-dotted-decimal conversion.
The edited file with the IPX Network entry (shown in bold) added looks like the
following example:
