Problem/Symptom
Network logins to BSD
hosts are invisible.
All network ports are in
use.

Possible Cause
The Annex user can use the
rlogin
telnet
commands
or
connect to a host, but the
pseudo-terminal does not show up in a
who
command display. This problem is
caused by a mismatch between
pseudo-terminals configured in the
/dev directory and pseudo-terminal
entries in /etc/ttys .

The

rejected after the user name is entered
in response to the login prompt. The
error message "all network ports in
use" indicates that all available
pseudo-terminals are in use.
