3.6.2 Removing the Server and Adjustable Guide Rail

Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves. For details, see
Step 2 Power off the server. For details, see
Step 3 Disconnect all power cables and signal cables from the server.

Step 5 Loosen the four screws on the guide rail. See (1) in
Step 6 Shorten the guide rail and take it out. See (2) in

NO TE
Remove power cables first to prevent damage or injury caused by static electricity.
Loosen the captive screws on the server panel using a screwdriver. See (1) in
Figure 3-29.

Pull out the server along the guide rails away from the cabinet. See (2) in
Figure 3-29.
Place the removed server on an ESD platform.
