FUEL SYSTEM (Programmed Fuel Injection)
Measure the resistance between the ECT sensor
terminals.
3. ECT Sensor Open Circuit Inspection
Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
Check for continuity between each test harness
terminal and wire harness side 3P connector ter-
minal.
Connection: # I 3

Pink/white
#31- Greenlorange

NO

Open circuit in Pinuwhite or Green/
orange wire.
YES

GO TO STEP 5.

4. ECT Sensor Short Circuit Inspection
Disconnect the test harness.
Check for continuity between the wire harness
side 3P connector terminal and ground.
Connection: Pinklwhite

Ground
I s there continuity?
YES
-
Short circuit in the Pinuwhite wire.
NO
-
GO TO STEP 5.
