The
ready indicator (1)
–
flashes when the self-test is running on the drive after you switch the system
unit on or if the drive is accessed in normal operation.
–
is lit if there is a cartridge in the drive.
–
is off if there is no cartridge in the drive.
The startup and positioning times for 4 mm tapes are relatively long.
The error indicator (2)
–
briefly lights up green after you switch the system unit on. It switches off once
the self-test has been successfully completed.
–
flashes amber if the drive is in urgent need of cleaning.
–
lights up amber if the drive is malfunctioning.
You must not press the release button (3) if the ready indicator is lit or is
!
flashing, as this may cause loss of data.
