CAUTION: Avoid bending fiber-optic cable beyond its minimum bend radius. An arc
smaller than a few inches in diameter can damage the cable and cause problems that
are difficult to diagnose.

Disconnect a Fiber-Optic Cable from the PTX10001-36MR

Before you disconnect a fiber-optic cable from a PTX10001-36MR, ensure that you have taken the
necessary precautions for safe handling of lasers (see
page 164
and
"Laser and LED Safety Guidelines and Warnings" on page
Ensure that you have the following parts and tools available:
• Rubber safety cap to cover the transceiver
• Rubber safety cap to cover the fiber-optic cable connector
The PTX10001-36MR has optical transceivers to which you can connect fiber-optic cables.
To disconnect a fiber-optic cable from an optical transceiver installed in the PTX10001-36MR:
