The self-tests verify the correct operation of the logic analyzer. Self-tests can be
performed all at once or one at a time. While testing the performance of the logic
analyzer, run the self-tests all at once.
The performance verification (PV) self-tests consist of system PV tests, analyzer PV
tests, oscilloscope PVtests (HP 1660ES series only), and pattern generator test (HP
1660EP series only).
These procedures assume the files on the PV disk have been copied to the /SYSTEM
subdirectory on the hard disk drive. lf they have not already been copied, insert the
PV disk in the flexible disk drive before starting this procedure.
1 Disconnect all inputs, then turn on the power switch. Walt until the power-up tests
are complete.
2 Press the System key. Select the field next to System, then select Test in the pop-up
menu.
