Troubleshoot with the LEDs

When you connect the LAN1 (PoE-24V) port on the AirBridge to the supplied power
adapter and plug in the power adapter to an outlet, the AirBridge LEDs light as described
here:
1. The Power LED lights solid amber.
2. After about two minutes, the following occurs:
• The LAN1 LED lights solid amber if the LAN port on the power adapter is
connected to an Ethernet device.
The LAN1 (PoE-24V) port on the AirBridge must always be connected to the
supplied power adapter, but if the LAN port on the power adapter is not
connected to an Ethernet device, the LAN1 port on the AirBridge remains off.
• If the AirBridge is already set up and configured, the WLAN LED lights solid
amber.
• If a LAN device is connected to the LAN2 port on the AirBridge, the LAN2 LED
lights solid amber.
You can use the LEDs for troubleshooting. For more information, see the following
sections:
• Power LED remains off on page 136
• WLAN LED is off on page 137
• A LAN LED is off while a device is connected on page 137
Note: For information about the signal strength indicator (SSI) LEDs, which indicate
the strength of the signal for the WiFi connection either between the satellite and the
master or between the client bridge and the access point, see the hardware installation
guide, which you can download by visiting netgear.com/support/download/.

Power LED remains off

When you connect the LAN1 (PoE-24V) port on the AirBridge to the supplied power
adapter, plug in the power adapter to an outlet, but the Power LED remains off, do the
following:
• Make sure that the Ethernet cable between the AirBridge and the power adapter is
correctly connected at both ends and that you use the correct ports:
-
On the AirBridge, use the LAN1 (PoE-24V) port.
-
On the power adapter, use the PoE port.
