A new page opens. After the AirBridge completes its scan for neighboring access
points, the page displays (for each detected access point) the information that is
described in the following table.
Setting Description
BSSID The basic service set ID (BSSID) in the format of a MAC address.
This is usually the MAC address of the radio on the AirBridge master or access point
that broadcasts the SSID.
SSID The service set ID (SSID), which is the name for the WiFi network with which the
AirBridge satellite, client bridge, or access point can connect.
Channel The radio channel on which the SSID is being broadcast.
Signal Level The strength of the WiFi signal that is being broadcast, expressed in –dBm.
A lower value means a stronger signal. For example, –40 dBm indicates a stronger
signal than –60 dBm.
Security The type of security that is configured for the SSID.
Mode The operation mode of the detected access point.
6. Either select the master with which you want the satellite to associate or the access
point with which you want the client bridge to associate by clicking the row for the
master or access point.
The page changes.
7. To select the BSSID of the selected master or access point as the preferred BSSID,
select the check box.
After you select the BSSID, in most situations, you do not need to change the detected
SSID, security mode, and encryption.
8. If the security mode is WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK, in the Passphrase field, enter the
passphrase that is required to connect to the SSID.
If the type of security is WPA2-Enterprise, see Set up WPA2-Enterprise security on
a satellite or client bridge on page 71.
9. Click the Save button.
Your settings are saved to be applied later. The page closes. The Wireless Settings
page displays again.
A pop-up window opens. The window shows the number of changes to be applied.
You can either make more changes (also on other pages) or apply the changes now.
10. To apply the changes now, click the Apply button in the pop-up window.
