press the OK button to confirm or press the Cancel button
to cancel your selection.
4. Press the OK button to execute the Write Wave
Sequence command, or press the Cancel button to
cancel without executing.
Do not turn off the power for at least 10 seconds after
using the Write Wave Sequence command. This allows
the system time to complete the process, which includes
saving a backup of the data to the internal drive.
Write Drum Kit
This command writes an edited drum kit into internal
memory.
You must write an edited drum kit if you want to keep it. An
edited drum kit cannot be recovered if you turn off the power
or select a different drum kit before writing it.
1. Choose "Write Drum Kit" to open the dialog box.
2. The upper line shows the drum kit name. To edit the
name, press the text edit button to open the text edit
dialog box, and set the name as desired (up to 24
characters).
If a USB QWERTY keyboard (commercially available) is
connected, you can use this to enter text instead of the on-
screen keyboard. For more information, see "Editing
names and entering text" on page 202 of the OG.
3. Use the lower line "To Drum Kit" to select the
writing-destination.
You can also press the popup button and choose the
writing-destination from the "Drum Kit Select" menu. If
you select the "Drum Kit Select" menu, press the OK
button to confirm or press the Cancel button to cancel
your selection.
Note: You can't write to GM0 through GM8. If you've
edited one of the GM drum kits , you may write it to the
INT or USER–USER–GG15 banks.
4. Press the OK button to execute the Write Drum Kit
command, or press the Cancel button to cancel
without executing.

Copy Key Setup
This command copies the Drum Sample assignments and
other settings from one Drum Kit key to another. You can
also copy settings from two or more contiguous keys at once.
1. Select Copy Key Setup to open the dialog box.
2. In "From Key," select the range of keys that you wish
to copy.
3. In "To Key," select the copy destination key. If two or
more keys are selected in "From Key," their settings
will be copied to the keys starting at "To Key" and
continuing upward.
4. To execute the Copy Key Setup command, press the
OK button. To cancel, press the Cancel button.
Swap Key Setup
This command exchanges (swaps) the Drum Sample
assignments and other settings between two keys in a Drum
Kit.
1. Choose Swap Key Setup to open the dialog box.
2. Use "Source1" and "Source2" to specify the keys
whose settings you want to swap.
3. Press the OK button to execute the Swap Key Setup
command, or press the Cancel button to cancel.
Write Arpeggio Patterns
This writes all user arpeggio patterns in the ranges A0000–
A2047 and B000–B127.
Rename Arpeggio Pattern
This renames the selected user arpeggio pattern. You can
enter up to 24 characters. You can also change the category
and sub-category for the arpeggio pattern here.
Preset patterns P0–P4 cannot be renamed.
Copy Arpeggio Pattern
This copies the settings from a different user arpeggio
pattern to the currently selected arpeggio pattern. You cannot
copy from preset arpeggio patterns P0–P4.
Use "From" to select the arpeggio pattern of the copy source.
