195: Stereo EP Cabinet

This effect models the built-in speaker and amplifiers of a set
of classic electric pianos, based on the amps and cabinets
from the EP-1.
CABINET SIMULATOR
Type
[Tine I, Tine II, Reed 200, Reed 200A]
This selects the cabinet model.
Drive
This controls the amount of overdrive and distortion in the
amp. At lower settings, the amp is very clean; as you
increase the Drive, it gets dirtier and more distorted. The
output level is compensated, so increasing Drive causes only
a moderate increase in perceived volume.

196: Rotary Speaker Amp Model

This effect models the amplifier of a rotary speaker setup
(not including the speakers themselves), based on the CX-3.
You can use this in series with the separate effect "197:
Rotary Speaker Pro CX Custom," below.
EXPRESSION
Expression adjusts both the volume level and the amount of
distortion. At lower Expression values, both the low bass
and high treble frequencies are slightly emphasized.
To allow optimal modulation flexibility, the Dmod for
Expression works differently from most other modulation.
See Mode, below, for more details.
Expression Minimum
This specifies the minimum level when Expression Level or
Expression Dmod are at 0.
Expression Level
This sets the default Expression level. It will be grayed out if
the Mode, below, is set to Dmod Only.
Dmod
This selects a Dmod source to modulate the Expression
Level.
This parameter is grayed out if Mode, below, is set to Level
Only.
NOTE: The MIDI Expression controller (CC #11) is hard-
wired to scale the channel volume level. So, despite the
similar name, it's best to use another controller as a Dmod
source.
Mode
This controls how the Dmod interacts with the programmed
Expression Level.
Level Only: The Expression Level parameter has complete
control over Expression. The Dmod parameter is grayed out
and has no affect.
Dmod Only: The Dmod input has complete control over
Expression, while the Expression Level parameter is grayed
out and has no affect.

Source
This selects a modulation source to control the Drive.
Amount
This controls the depth and direction of the Drive
modulation.
OUTPUT
This is the standard effects output section, with modulatable
control over wet/dry balance. For more information, see
"OUTPUT" on page 762.
Both Scale: The values of Expression Level and Dmod are
multiplied to produce the Expression level. For the math-
friendly, a value of 99 is treated as 1.0.
Both Overwrite: Expression Level and Dmod both write
directly to the Expression level. If the Expression Level
parameter is updated, it directly controls Expression, and the
last value from Dmod is ignored. If the Dmod input moves,
it also directly controls Expression, and the setting of the
Expression Level parameter is ignored.
Disconnected pedals
If the Foot Pedal is assigned to a Dmod source but a pedal is
not physically connected to the NAUTILUS, the result is the
same as if the pedal was pressed down all the way: the Dmod
signal will be at its maximum value.
AMP
Type
This selects one of two amp models, or a direct line-out from
the organ's preamp.
Type 1 is a standard powered amp for organ, producing a
warm, fat tone.
Type 2 yields a less colored tone, with more high
frequencies than Type 1.
PreAmp is the sound of a direct line-out from the organ.
Gain
This adjusts the gain when Type is set to Type 1 or Type 2.
It does not apply if the Type is set to PreAmp.
Expression also adjusts the drive into the Amp section. With
higher Gain settings, you'll get more overdrive and
distortion as you increase the Expression amount. For more
information, see "4–2b: Expression," on page 188.
Source
This selects a source to modulate the Gain.
Amount
This controls the depth and direction of the Gain
modulation.
