The Ping Command

There are two useful commands:
Send IGMP ECHO_REQUEST packets to a given destination
ping:
Send ICMP/UDP packets to trace the ip path.
traceroute:
Each of these can be given from the root of the CLI, as well as from any other place
in any command group.
The Ping command has the following syntax:
ping addr = <ip-address>
[count = <number{1-1000000}>]
[size = <number{0-20000}>]
[interval = <number{100-1000000}>]
[listen = <{disabled|enabled}>]
[dffield = <{disabled|enabled}>]
[srcaddr = <ip-address>]
It uses the following parameters:

Example
Below is an example of a ping command and its reply:
{Administrator}=>ping addr 192.168.1.60
40 bytes from 192.168.1.60: icmp_id = 2, icmp_seq=0 time=962 us
40 bytes from 192.168.1.60: icmp_id = 2, icmp_seq=1 time=866 us
40 bytes from 192.168.1.60: icmp_id = 2, icmp_seq=2 time=757 us
40 bytes from 192.168.1.60: icmp_id = 2, icmp_seq=3 time=742 us
40 bytes from 192.168.1.60: icmp_id = 2, icmp_seq=4 time=753 us
SpeedTouch™ Advanced Diagnostics
Description
The destination IP address.
The number of pings to send.
The size of the ping payload(s).
The interval in milliseconds between
packets.
Don't send, just listen for incoming
ICMP packets.
Enables setting of the don't fragment
flag in the IP headers of the ping
The IP source address to use.
