Communication with the Host
 Flow Control Settings
Set the flow control and timeout time when communicating in the Normal mode with a host such
as a personal computer.

Select Normal on the communications speci-
fications setting screen.
The Normal setting screen will be displayed.

Flow control
Communications are carried out while checking the status of the host. If there is no response from
the host for longer than the set timeout time, a timeout error occurs, and an error message is dis-
played on the screen.
The parallel I/O error signal also turns ON.

Xon/Xoff The software performs flow control. Data is transmitted in
accordance with the Xon/Xoff code sent from the host.
Set the number of seconds (1 to 120 seconds) before a timeout error occurs.
