v Enable/Disable Unattended Start Mode
Use this option to instruct the service processor to immediately power-on the server
after a power failure, bypassing power-on password verification. Unattended start
mode can also be set using SMS menus. Unattended start mode can be used on
servers that require automatic power-on after a power failure.
v Ring Indicate Power-On Menu
Ring indicate power-on is an alternate method of dialing in without establishing a
service processor session. If the system is powered off and ring indicate power-on is
enabled, the server is powered on at the predetermined number of rings. If the server
is already on, no action is taken. In either case, the telephone call is not answered.
The caller receives no feedback that the server is powered on. The Ring Indicate
Power-On Menu and defaults are shown below:
98. Return to Previous Menu
The number of rings can be set to any number greater than zero. The default value
is six rings.
