v Read System POST Errors
Select this option to review the results of the POST (power-on self-test). Your system
unit may be able to start in the presence of POST errors if there are sufficient
working system resources. If POST errors occur during start up, this error log, when
used with the diagnostics, helps to isolate faults. See page "System POST Errors" on
page 182 for an example of the POST error screen.
v Read NVRAM
Displays nonvolatile random access memory (NVRAM) contents.
v Read Service Processor Configuration
Displays all service processor settings that can be changed by the user.
v View System Environmental Conditions
The service processor reads all environmental sensors and reports the results to the
user. Use this option when surveillance fails, because it allows the user to determine
the environmental conditions that may be related to the failure.
v Processor Configuration/Deconfiguration Menu
Use this option to view the processor configuration.
The following is an example of the Processor Configuration/Deconfiguration Menu:

The processor can be in one of four states:
– Configured by system: The system processor is present, and has not exceeded
the failure threshold.
– Deconfigured by system: The system processor has been taken off-line by the
service processor due to an unrecoverable error, or recoverable errors exceeding
the failure threshold.
– Manually configured : The processor is present and available. It has been
configured by the user through the service processor menus.
– Manually deconfigured :The processor is present, but unavailable. It has been
deconfigured by the user through the service processor menus.
v Memory Configuration/Deconfiguration Menu:
Use this menu to view and modify the memory DIMM configuration. If it is necessary
to take one of the memory DIMMs off-line, this menu allows you to deconfigure a
DIMM and then reconfigure the DIMM at a later time.
The configuration process takes place during system power-up. Therefore, the
configuration displayed by this menu in standby mode reflects the configuration
during the last boot.
