VALVE SPRING INSPECTION

Measure the free length of the inner and outer valve
springs.
SERVICE LIMITS:
INNER (IN):
49.60 mm (1.874 in)
(EX): $7.60 mm (1.874
in)
OUTER (IN):
48.58 mm (1.909 in)
(EX): 48.50 mm (1.909 in)
VALVE INSPECTION
Clean the valves and inspect for trueness, burring,
scoring, or abnormal stem end wear.
Check the valve movement in the guide.
Measure and record each valve stem O.B.
SERVICE LIMITS:
(IN): 6.54 mm (0.258 in)
(EX): 6.54 mm (8.258 in)

STEM-TB-GUIDE CLEARANCE INSPECTION
Ream the guides to remove any carbon build-up
before checking the clearance.
