CAMSHAFTICAM CHAIN
VALVE TIMING ADIUSMEMT
Align the holes in the cam sprocket
aligning marks on the engine case.
ALIGNING MARK
boss with the
SPROCKET BOSS HOLES
Rotate the crankshaft to bring the left piston to
T. D. C.
The valve timing i s correct when:
c
The cam sprocket bolts are in line with the
aligning marks on the engine case.

Check that the flywheel woodruff key aligns
with the index mark on the crankshaft cap.
NOTE
-.
When inspecting the valve timing, push the
cam chain from the right side so the tensioner
the chain is pulled taut.
