This test clarifies the correct working of the Fan Unit in the

™

LambdaUnite

MultiService Switch (MSS) subrack. Check if the fan

unit is running. The test should be carried out for each installed NE.

Proceed as follows to test the correct functionality of the fan

unit:

Control the correct installation of the fan unit and fan filter.

Check that

•

the air flow direction is from bottom to top

•

the unit is fixed correctly.

Control the status indication on the faceplate of the fan unit.

Result:

On the fan unit only the PWR ON LED should be lit.
