CAUTION
Destruction of components by electrostatic
discharge.
Electronic components can be destroyed by electrostatic
discharge.
Hold circuit packs only at the edges or on the insertion
and removal facilities. Always observe the ESD
instructions (cf. "Electrostatic Discharge" (1-18)).
CAUTION
Risk of fire due to overheating.
Inadequate heat dissipation can cause heat accumulation or
even a fire in the network element.
You must therefore ensure that
•
the fan unit is installed,
•
the individual fans are not obstructed,
•
the minimum separation is maintained between two
shelves in a rack (follow the installation instructions
given in the LambdaUnite
Lucent Technologies
™
MSS Installation Guide).
