Error indicator
Lights up whenever any printer error oc-
curs. A message describing the cause of
the error also appears on the panel dis-
play. ⇒ "Error & Status Messages on the
Operation Panel" in the "Printer Refer-
ence" included as a PDF file on the CD-
ROM

Note
The following illustration shows the simplex printer. The procedure is iden-
tical for the duplex printer.

Confirm that the power cord is securely plugged into the outlet and the
printer.

Set the printer's power switch to the On position.
After turning on the printer, it takes about six minutes to warm up before be-
ing able to print. The following message appears on the operation panel.

Warming Up
When the printer is turned on, the Power indicator will blink repeatedly.
Once it stops blinking and remains on, you will be able to send data from the
computer to the printer. When the following message appears on the opera-
tion panel, the printer will be able to begin printing.

Data In indicator
Blinks while the printer is receiving data
from a computer.
Stays on if there is data to be printed.
