Installing Options
Note
The standard memory unit is in-
stalled in slot 1.
You can install two optional
memory units by removing the
standard memory unit.
If you remove the standard
2
memory unit and install one op-
tional memory unit, install it
into slot 1. Do not install it into
slot 2.
When removing the memory
unit, open the white tabs which
hold the memory, as shown in
the illustration.
Be careful not to injure yourself
on any sharp pieces of sheet
metal in the duplex printer.

Attach the controller board cover
to its original position and fasten
it with the screws removed in step
C.

If you use the duplex printer,
close the duplex unit and then
fasten it with the screws removed
in step B.

Connect all cables removed in
step A.

Plug the printer's power cord
back into the printer and the out-
let. Turn on the printer's power
switch.

Print a configuration page to con-
firm that the memory unit is prop-
erly installed.

If the memory unit is not prop-
erly installed, follow the above
procedure to reinstall it. If you
fail again, contact your sales or
service representative.
Important
To make the printer recognize
the installed option properly,
you must set up the option with
the printer driver.
