Registering a Confidential Box

Registering a Bulletin Board Box
To perform Fcode communication, register an Fcode box. There are two types of Fcode boxes: Fcode confidential boxes and Fcode
bulletin board boxes. Be sure to register a sub address and a PIN number (Fcode confidential communication only) for each Fcode box.
Registering a Confidential Box
You can register a confidential box to the machine, allowing you to receive a fax data that you do not want to expose to third persons
with Fcode communication.
1.
Press
(SETTING).

Press
to select [Admin Setup], and then press
3.
Enter the administrator password.
The factory default password is "aaaaaa".
Entering Characters

Select [Enter], and then press

Press
to select [Fax Setup], and then press
6.
Press
to select [Fcode Box], and then press
7.
Press
to select a box number, and then press
8.
Check that [Register] is selected, and then press
Memo
To edit a registered Fcode confidential box, enter the PIN number, and then select [Edit].

Check that [Confidential Box] is selected, and then press
10.
Check that [Box Name] is selected, and then press
11.
Enter a box name.
You can enter up to 16 characters.

Select [Enter], and then press
13.
Press
to select [Sub-Address], and then press
14.
Enter a sub address.
You can enter up to 20 characters including # or *.
15.
Select [Enter], and then press
16.
Press
to select [Hold Time], and then press
17.
Enter a value between 0 and 31 (days), and then press
Memo
Set [Hold Time] if necessary.
If you set [00] (days), the document is indefinitely retained.
18.
Press
to select [I.D.Code], and then press
(OK).
