Checking Copy Operation

Check whether the machine is operating correctly by performing the copy operation.
The following procedure uses the factory default setting.
1.
Press (COPY) to display the start screen.
2.
Set a document in the ADF or on the document glass.
If you set a document in the ADF, set the document face up and so that the top edge of the document is pulled into the ADF
first. Align the document guide to the document width.
Note
If ADF paper feed problems often occur, reduce the number of document pages to set.

If you set a document on the document glass, open the document glass cover, set the document face down, and then align its
top edge with the top left corner of the glass.
Close the document glass cover gently.
Note
When copying with the document glass, do not put more weight than necessary on the document glass.
