The following describes how to clear paper jams in Tray 8 (Inserter (optional)).

Press the <Cover> button.

Open the cover [1e], and then remove the
jammed paper and all paper loaded in the
Inserter.

Fan the paper you removed making sure that all four corners are neatly aligned, and
then load them again.

Push the cover [1e] until it clicks into place
and then close it.

Paper Jams Inside the Lower Left Cover
The following describes how to clear paper jams under the lower left cover.

Open the lower left cover while gripping the
release handle.

• If the front cover of the High Capacity Tray Unit is not completely closed, a message will
appear and the machine will not operate.
