You can view the information about all disks in the system by running the command
vxdisk list.
You can view the information about a specified disk group in the system by running the
command vxdisk -g diskgroup list.
You can view the information about a specified disk in the system by running the command
vxdisk list disk....
You can specify parameters to vxdisk scandisks to implement partial device discovery.
You can specify parameters to vxdisk scandisks device= to implement devices scan.
You can specify parameters to vxdisk scandisks ctlr= to implement devices that are
connected to a list of logical or physical controllers scan.
You can specify parameters to vxdisk scandisks pctlr= to implement devices that are
connected to the specified physical controller discovery.
You can discover newly-added devices by running the command vxdisk scandisks new.
You can discover fiber devices by running the command vxdisk scandisks fabric.

DEVICE: indicates the name of a disk. The name must be the same as that in the VxVM.
TYPE: indicates the type of a disk.
The value options are simple and auto. They are described as follows:
auto: After the vxconfigd program is started, the VxVM obtains the known addresses
of disks from the OS and automatically configures the access records for these disks.
simple: The public area and the specific area must be in the same disk area, and ensure
that the specific area is followed by the public area.
DISK: indicates the alias of a disk.
GROUP: indicates the disk group that a disk belongs to.
STATUS: indicates the status of a disk. If the status is online invalid, it indicates that the
disk is not managed by the VxVM. It is not confirmed that the disk is initialized by the
VxVM. If the status is online, it indicates that the disk is managed by the VxVM.
