Function
To define and manage the disks managed by the VxVM.
Format
vxdisk [-g diskgroup] [-o alldgs] list [disk...]
vxdisk scandisks [device=...|ctlr=...|pctlr=...|new |fabric]

Usage Guidelines
When using the command, pay attention to the following points:

Description
Displays the information about the disk with specified tags or optional
parameter values.
Displays the information about all disk groups, including those
exported.
Specifies one or more disk names.
Scans for the devices.
Scans for devices that are connected to a list of logical or physical
controllers.
Discovers devices that are connected to the specified physical
controller.
Discovers newly added devices that were unknown to it earlier.
Discovers fabric devices.
You can view the information about all disk groups (including exported disk groups) in the
system by running the command vxdisk -o alldgs list.
