OPERATION 38
CHECK BRAKE PEDAL LATCHING/UNLATCHING
CAUTION
Owners should be aware of local regulations
concerning the braking system. Regularly maintain
the brakes to ensure compliance with the law and
ensure your safety. If in doubt, contact your dealer.
The hydraulically actuated brakes require no
adjustment. However, if any part of the brake pedal
linkage or the master cylinder assembly is replaced
or if the pedal latch will not readily engage the hole
in the right--hand pedal shank, adjust the pedal as
follows:
Adjust the clevis by loosening the locknut . The
distance from the bulkhead to the centre of the clevis
hole should be 137mm (5.4 in.). Adjust both pedals
and ensure pedal latch engages properly.
