Removing/installing footrest

Remove lock washer, pin and torsion spring;
take off footrest.

Note:
When installing pin for footrest, grease with
Shell Retinax EP 2.
Remove footrest pad from footrest.
Installation is the reverse of the removal proce-
dure.
Lubricant:
.................................................. Shell Retinax EP 2

Tightening torque:
Footrest pad to footrest.................................. 4 Nm
Removing/installing brake light

Unscrew and remove the brake light switch.
Installation is the reverse of the removal proce-
dure.

Note:
The brake light must come on when the rear-wheel
brake starts to slow the wheel.

Tightening torque:
Brake-light switch........................................... 5 Nm
Removing/installing left footrest

Adjusting left/right footrests

Remove the right footrest system (
Remove the left footrest system.
Install the left/right footrest system in the alterna-
tive position.

Note:
Make sure that the left and right footrest systems
are both in either the upper or the lower position.

Adjusting gear shift lever

Remove screw (arrow) and reposition the gear
shift lever to suit the altered footrest position.
X
Tightening torque:
Footrest system to frame.............................. 20 Nm
Gearshift lever ................................................ 8 Nm
