When placing an original into the ADF
This section explains how to place an original into the ADF.
• Maximum scan area
The following shows the maximum scan area:
Memory Transmission: 216 × 1200 mm, 8
Immediate Transmission: 216 × 1200 mm, 8
• During Immediate Transmission, the length of the scanning range can decrease to less than 1200 mm
(47 inches), depending on the resolution of the image and the configuration of the receiving machine.

Detecting Blank Sheet

Upon completion of the first page scanning, an alarm sounds if the page is nearly blank.
• The blank sheet-detecting function works only when an original is scanned using the ADF.
