a. Platen original: The original is placed on the platen
glass, and reading is accomplished by movement
of the exposure unit and V mirror unit.
b. RADF original: The exposure unit and V mirror unit
are shifted under slit glass, and the original is
scanned as it passes over the exposure unit.
