Clerk Interrupt

A transaction in progress can be interrupted so that another transaction can take place.
With clerk interrupt implemented, the second clerk can sign on before the first transaction is
finalized. When the sign on is completed, the first transaction is suspended, and the second
clerk can register a new transaction. When the first clerk signs on again, the balance of the
suspended transaction is recalled and the clerk can complete the original transaction.
Note: The clerk interrupt feature is only available when the check tracking system is
not being used. System option #26 provides an option for either clerk interrupt or check
tracking is selected.

Clerk interrupt can also be used in a retail store with a single clerk. If a transaction is
started and delayed, the same clerk can interrupt the transaction to help another
customer.
